Priscilla is a licensed and registered professional counsellor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Priscilla is also a PhD holder in Psychology with research expertise in the realm of romantic relationships. She believes there is no health without mental health and views counselling as self-care and a safe space for personal and relationship growth. Priscilla supports individuals to work towards the best version of themselves and couples to build positive synergy with their partner and propel their relationship forward.

Priscilla’s counselling interests specifically revolve around individual and couple counseling, both premarital (i.e., dating or engaged) and marital counselling. With her extensive experience in counselling, she has supported clients in managing a myriad of struggles, namely managing anxiety and depression, coping with relationship issues, learning more constructive communication skills, coping with trauma and abuse, increasing self-esteem, learning healthier coping strategies, and managing work and career concerns.

As a certified trainer for couples in the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP), Priscilla’s passionate about helping couples build healthier relationships. This passion led her to complete a PhD in psychology at Monash University Malaysia, focusing on couple communication processes and perceived responses across different situational contexts. Priscilla is also a published research author in relationship science. Priscilla draws on her research background to provide evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s specific needs.

Furthermore, Priscilla teaches psychology in a university and is a supervisor for the Master of Professional Counselling students, demonstrating her dedication to helping others learn and grow in the field of mental health. Priscilla has also worked with refugees who had gone through a range of traumatic experiences, including abuse, violence, and persecution, providing her expertise in culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed care to individuals who have faced significant challenges.

She is committed to helping her clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health by using an integrative approach that combines Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her ultimate goal is to empower, support and inspire others to cultivate better relationships, compassion, and self-love.
